EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR & SUMMER ENRICHMENT PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR

Roles and Responsibilities include:

• Work with district and school administrators to design ESY-SE programs.
• Assist the Special Education Office in scheduling students’ special education and related services enrolled in Extended School Year & Summer Enrichment (ESY-SE)
• Assist in staff recruitment for ESY-SE
• Set up and run an orientation session for ESY-SE program staff.
• Coordinate curriculum materials, supplies, and resources necessary for students enrolled in ESY-SE
• Ensure that appropriate program accommodations and/or modifications are implemented for students with disabilities and/or English Language Learners.
• Support technology needs for students with individual devices(s) and for teachers related to curriculum and instruction. Coordinate with the IT Department to ensure appropriate distribution, use, and collection of technology.
• Coordinate with Transportation Office in ensuring safe arrival/dismissal of ESY students
• Maintain student and ESY-SE staff attendance records on a daily basis
• Coordinate facilities usage with building principals and custodial staff.
• Administer discipline and maintain appropriate documentation consistent with the District’s Code of Conduct
• Maintain student emergency contacts
• Maintain knowledge of building emergency evacuation procedures and be able to implement emergency response procedures
• Coordinate classroom utilization with building administrators and custodians
• Communicate with parents/guardians as needed
• Check in with each ESY-SE classrooms throughout the school day
• Maintain a daily log focused on classroom topics and student learning
• Prepare a summative report of Extended School Year services to submit to the Director of Special Education and Assistant Superintendent for Instruction.
